I believe that every celebration, whether it is a wedding, naming, party or funeral should reflect the character of the person/couple being celebrated. I want to help you create the celebration of your dreams and help your vision come to life.
My journey to becoming a wedding celebrant started around the time that discussions about marriage equality were first getting some serious notice at the governmental level. I am passionate about LGBTIQ+ rights and made my decision then and there that if (when) Australia achieved equality in marriage laws, I would become a celebrant so I could ensure that couples would always know there was at least one celebrant who thought their love was as deserving of celebration (and valid) as any other. I have been fortunate enough to be able to have celebrated my own wedding back in 2004 and it just felt wrong to me that other couples were not afforded the same validation. Finally, in December 2017, Australia said ‘YES!’ and, as good as my word, the very next day, I enrolled in the Cert IV in Marriage Celebrancy.
